holidays

lots of things going on... grant proposal due oct 1 for painting-dance-music installation in the river arts district for next spring (fingers crossed!) i have some work (some new, some old) going up at the wine studio on charlotte street in october with an opening in november, and i have a solo show at eclipse salon and gallery on wall street in march. also, i'm getting a new studio mate, miranda maynard, and our space will be getting a major overhaul. studio stroll this year is november 13 &14, and we'll be, with any luck, up and running by then.

trips planned to DC, atlanta, new orleans, and maybe miami before the new year. and it's the first day of fall!

the weekend was great but i'm ready to launch into some new/bigger projects. started yesterday on a hot pink and red spraypaint/acrylic piece on wood panel, inspired by os gemeos' work which i will be able to see in person later this month when i go to ITALY.

website, grand opening, collaboration

my website is up and running!

the grand opening of roots studios is this friday, june 11, from 5-8 pm. for anyone who sees this, you're invited. become a fan of the studios on facebook.

i also officially launched into a really exciting collaboration with my friend/local jeweler ryan-ashley anderson. i'll be selling her earrings made from prints of my paintings at studio stroll next weekend, and she will also be selling them, plus her other beautiful work, at upcoming asheville festivals bele chere and the big crafty, as well as at local boutiques hip replacements and elementality. pictures to come soon!
